Paul Tanner and Drew Riddle co-founded Arcadia Construction with a shared vision: build timeless homes with uncompromising attention to detail while making the entire process an enjoyable, collaborative experience.

Paul discovered his passion for building during a college summer spent living with his uncle, a custom homebuilder and master carpenter. That early exposure pushed him to study at NC State University before spending seven years as a superintendent for a commercial general contractor. He’s built a reputation on discipline, craftsmanship, and a hunger for always pushing his abilities further. Paul credits much of his inspiration to his father-in-law, a Boston-area luxury homebuilder with more than four decades of experience.

Drew, also an NC State graduate and Paul’s former college roommate, brings a complementary skill set that elevates Arcadia’s work. After four years with a prominent homebuilder, he developed a sharp eye for design, spatial flow, and the small creative touches that make a home feel exceptional. His sense of humor and natural ease with clients make the process not only smooth, but genuinely enjoyable.

Together, Paul and Drew balance analytical precision with thoughtful creativity. For their spec homes, they work closely with their design team to craft selections chosen for longevity—timeless elevations, functional layouts, and finishes that stand the test of time.
